Another security sellout

I see that Sensepost has sold out for a measly $4.5 million. I really liked the comment about this in another blog which says I give them 6 months before they all start wearing suits and start using terms like "governance maturity model". So true!

I blogged about the lack on innovation in security recently and now another one of the surviving innovators has sold out. When you combine this with the repressive anti-hacking laws in Germany we are seeing a decline in legitimate security research. One of my favourite tool sites THC has pulled the pin on its software downloads.

A friend of mine said a while ago that it would go this way... its all about the $ now. The hacker ethic is dying, replaced by kids trying to get the highest number of "friends" posting to their MySpace profile.
