Accessing Hidden Devices in WIndows
To access hidden devices in Windows, do the following, go to Control Panel->System Properties->Advanced->Environment Variables, select New, add
devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices
as the Variable name and 1 as the Variable value.
Then go to Control Panel->System Properties->Hardware->Device Manager then click on View->Show hidden devices. You will now be able to see ALL of the devices including every removable device that was ever plugged into the machine.

Problems opening CHM files
If you ever have problems opening CHM files over a network connection or from the Internet, you will probably get a message to the effect of
"Action canceled Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable",
here are the most likely causes and solutions:
"Action canceled Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable",
or
"The page cannot be displayed"here are the most likely causes and solutions:
- The file name or path contains the # symbol: Rename the file or open it from a directory without a # in the path.
- Its a HTMLHelp Zone restriction: Download the registry fix, right click and choose "Merge"
